Working in an office can be a trying experience. There is bound to be incidents that you wish you could take back. Frustration and resentment build up until the point of heated arguments between management and employee.Every employee want to be acknowledged by their superiors, however, there are times when management is of one mindset. When this occurs too many times, the results can be disastrous, especially if the employee has a short temper. Often, situations that would normally be discussed get out of control and end up with harsh words being shouted back and forth. When the sparks die down, the employee is left to figure out how to mend feelings and keep his or he
f marketing yourself can feel uncomfortable if you associate it with bragging. Actually, the two couldn??™t be more different. Braggers put all the attention on themselves, boasting about how wonderful they are. Marketers focus on the needs of others and then share how they might be able to assist. Career Transitions : Fearless Flyers
You may have read one of my previous articles on career transitioning which described how to create complementary careers for yourself. This article will introduce you to three people I call Fearless Flyers because they have taken the leap of faith that many of us would only dream of considering.Fearless Flyer #1 worked for a big gym equipment manufacturer. In fact, she was a regional sales manager for them, doing quite well with sales, I might add. As she visited various gyms, she observed people using the facilities. She realized that people were staying inside buildings working towards their health rather than being outside and getting the extra benefits to their well-
Imagine if a business invested years into the research, design, and creation of a new product, and then failed to tell anybody about it. What if the company assumed (even expected) that consumers should discover their new product, just because it was ???great???? Flawed logic, right? Yet, that??™s how many people treat their careers! They spend years learning a trade, gaining education, and writing resumes - but do nothing to promote themselves. In fact, they assume others should recognize them just because they show up and do a good job. What they don??™t assume is accountability for their own career.

No matter what business you??™re in, YOU are the product! Here are six tips on how to market yourself from Positive First Impressions: 83 Ways to Establish Confidence, Competence, and Trust.

Be Accountable. You, and only you, are responsible for your career. It??™s not enough to do what is required, or even go above and beyond. You must take the next step and let people know about your strengths and accomplishments! You might think it??™s your boss??™ job to notice all that you do. It would be nice to have that individual attention. But, the reality is, bosses have too much to do ??“ so why make your future someone else??™s responsibility? If key decision-makers don??™t your name, introduce yourself.

Marketing, not Bragging. The thought of marketing yourself can feel uncomfortable if you associate it with bragging. Actually, the two couldn??™t be more different. Future Prospects for Kodak
Nowadays film photo cameras swiftly replace by digital ones. Despite of all advantages of digital over film cameras, professional photographers claim that photos from film cameras are better. But professionals of photography present the minority on the market of photo cameras and most customers on this market are unsophisticated amateurs, which most often do not see the difference between film and digital cameras photos. Moreover, amateurs consider digital photos better and of course they appreciate all other advantages of digital cameras such as: LCD, memory cards, additional functions, digital zoom, sound and video record etc.Customers’ preferences drive the supply and thu

Putting a Full Effort Behind Your Brand
Your personal focus needs to be on the company and not yourself. This means that the company has your full support and you are willing to work towards a common goal - the success of the brand. You need to believe in what you are doing. You also need to know all about the products and services you are selling. If you talk to a potential customer, and they ask an important question, if you do not know the answer, find someone who does. Do not make something up; you will get caught every time. I have been to so many computer stores and ask a really dumb question to test the integrity of the salesperson. They have no idea that I have several degrees in the computer field and help set u

    Engineering Professions
As you may know, engineering has so many different routes to follow, giving a person a lot of flexibility on what to choose in their engineering profession. This can help people with a wide range of interests and skills, but some people are not mentally prepared for the task ahead of them.Engineers have a great sense of purpose when they take engineering up as a career and a lot of their work can be available for all to see. But anyone going into engineering thinking that it is easy to do will find it could be their downfall, as you need to be in the right frame of mind. The problem is that a lot of people underestimate engineering professions because they do not know much a

Braggers put all the attention on themselves, boasting about how wonderful they are. Marketers focus on the needs of others and then share how they might be able to assist. When done properly, marketing is seen as being useful and helpful while bragging comes off as distasteful and self-focused. It??™s the difference between a telemarketer using high-pressure sales tactics to get you to buy versus really needing something and appreciating the assistance of a helpful sales person.

Benefits, Benefits, Benefits. The most important distinction for marketing yourself is understanding the difference between features and benefits. Features are descriptive characteristics and skills (i.e. strong presentation skills or special computer training). Benefits are what those features can do for someone else (i.e. strong presentation skills means you could help earn the company more money through outside presentations). Features mean nothing unless you can show how they benefit others. Do you buy a product based on its features ??“ or what those features can do for you? Traditional resumes are full of features. Turn yours into benefits.

Five minutes a day. Marketing is a long-term investment. The biggest payoff comes by investing a little bit everyday, even when you don??™t think it??™s necessary. In fact, the most important time to market is when things are going well. Your confidence and passion are high, and that??™s contagious. Waiting until you need good press puts you in an underdog, desperate position. So, commit at least five minutes a day to the marketing of y
